Are you a spouse new to the military? Are you new to San Antonio? Maybe you have been around for a while but haven’t had the time to get involved with other spouses.

Are you concerned about a current or future deployment? Are you looking for opportunities to serve your community? Perhaps you need some adult conversation, yet an opportunity for the children to play and meet friends. Did you just leave your best friend or your family at the last duty station?

10 Questions

1)   Heals of Flats?

Flats (although I have a pair of 2” pumps in my desk at work for those important meetings).

2)   Do you believe in karma?

Definitely. How else would a Romanian born economist and a USAF major born in Taiwan ever meet?

3)   What is your favorite smell?

The smell of the ocean.

4)   Do you get carsick?

Never.  Not even sea-sick (I strongly believe that in a prior life I was a sailor).

5)   If you could re-live any past experience what would it be?

My first date with my husband.  I would not change a thing, but some of the details are getting fuzzy.

6)   What is the last thing you purchased?

An “American Innovative Teach Me Time! Talking Alarm Clock and Nightlight.” My almost three year old finally figured out how to open her bedroom door. So not good! She has been visiting us almost every night, just to let us know that she went pee-pee in her potty.  This clock is supposed to show her by a red or green light when it is not OK or OK to leave her room.  Let’s hope it helps!  We were thinking about having one more child, but right now not a chance. When you get up during the night because of a baby it’s expected, but when it is a three year old it is not cool.

7)   What do you like most about San Antonio?

The weather over the last two weeks.  Cool mornings, nice and warm during the day.  I love getting out on long walks early on weekend mornings (that is my mommy recharge time).

8)   East coast or West Coast?

West.  More specifically Pacific Northwest, Seattle area.

9)   What is your dream job?

My current one: modeling analyst.  I love data and a good puzzle! I am a nerd, no excuses here.

10)    What is a goal you’d like to accomplish in the future?

My ambition is to do a standard distance triathlon (if they ever come up with one in which you have to walk instead of run).
