Are you a spouse new to the military? Are you new to San Antonio? Maybe you have been around for a while but haven’t had the time to get involved with other spouses.
Are you concerned about a current or future deployment? Are you looking for opportunities to serve your community? Perhaps you need some adult conversation, yet an opportunity for the children to play and meet friends. Did you just leave your best friend or your family at the last duty station?

1. If you were invisible, where would you go?
Probably to Erik’s work since I have never been allowed in the building. I’ll probably have my phone tapped just for saying that, ha.
2. What size shoe do you wear?
7.5, I think, but probably an 8 after this baby.
3. What is your greatest accomplishment?
I would say my greatest personal accomplishment has been paying off my student loans. I also think my kids are pretty great, but I can’t take full credit for that.
4. Optimist or pessimist?
I try very hard to be an optimist, but, depending on the topic, I have pessimistic tendencies.
5. What is the strangest item in your purse right now?
Well, my “purse” is a diaper bag, so it’s full of strange things. I have some beautiful Disney jewelry that I think any purse-snatcher would be thrilled to find.
6. What is your favorite flavor of jelly beans?
Ughhh, jelly beans. If it’s not chocolate, it’s not worth it.
7. What do you think is your best feature or characteristic?
I tend to put others before myself. I’m getting better at saying “no” when I really don’t have the time, but I love doing things for others.
8. Have you had 15 minutes of fame? If so, what for?
Never, and I don’t want it. Being famous has never interested me.
9. What nickname(s) do you have?
Growing up my dad called me “Shelly” because my middle name is Michelle. My college roommate, who is wonderfully crazy, called me “Blizzidy Blair”, which turned into “Blizz”. That’s what Erik calls me.
10. Regular or diet soda?
Regular! I don’t usually drink them, but if I’m going to have a coke I want it to be full of its wonderful corn syrupy goodness.
